With an Electronics Engineer degree plus a MBA and more than 25 years of experience in the computer and telecom industry, Edgardo da Fonseca contributed with IVAS since 2010. As one of the main investors, he lends his expertise in the areas of building and growing international teams.
Real serial entrepreneur, he created and developed several companies. With Ascend Communication, he developed significant cross-fertilization exchanges, swapping skills and sharing best practices with geographically distributed teams between the Silicon Valley and Sophia Antipolis (the European Valley).
Recognized as a thought leader in the field of entrepreneurship, he is often invited to speak at conferences and participates in round tables. Edgardo also lectures at SKEMA and EDHEC (business schools) where his courses include International Development and Management. He is the founding President of Sophia Business Angels, a private investors club. Former sportive and passionate about the sport, he was President of the Rugby Club Antibes Sophia Antipolis and he climbed the Kilimanjaro.
Marc Seignette brings more than 20 years of technical expertise in network, systems and service oriented architecture orchestration. Prior to that, he was the EMEA technical director for Anuta Networks, a high potential startup in network services orchestration.
Before that, Marc joined Cisco Systems in 2005 following the Airespace acquisition, another high potential startup. he grew the revenue from 0 to $170m in 2011 with Business Development Managers and a larger engineer team. He was then identified as an emerging leader, opening him the position of CTO for Routing, Switching, Security and Mobility in Emerging Markets (Russian Federation, CEE, MEA and LatAm).
Marc held various senior level positions in Strategy, R & D and Technical Support at 24 Solutions, Microgine, RealScale Technologies, Bay Networks / Nortel, and 3com.
Academically, Marc completed studies in Geographical Information Systems at Paris X University.
After a B.S.C. in Electronics & Computer Science from Portsmouth Polytechnic and a diploma from INSEAD Fontainebleau in Fusion & Acquisition, Marcel Dridje built his career with significant roles: VP EMEA Corvis, Applications Engineer IBM,etc. Thanks to direct experiences with Fortune 500 enterprises (Nortel, Lucent, Cisco, EMC, ALU) and startups (Quantum, Andrew, Networks, Pluris, Corvis, Ascend & Airspace), he acquired brilliant skills in sales, marketing, communication & management.
Two major highlights: positioning Airespace as the #2 WLAN in EMEA market share & positioning Cisco as the #1 WLAN vendor worldwide. He also pioneered the French ISP Internet business while leading Ascend’s insertion into France Telecom Wanadoo’s first ISP business to include ISDNET, OLEANE and Internetway.
Key investor in IVAS, Marcel brings his rich commercial acumen and business development experience. He has substantial field experience helping IT and Telecom startups in the US and EMEA. As Business Angel, Marcel helps startups with seed money, VC connections and business development.
